Overview
Harbour Glass Offices is a mid-scale workplace project in a new commercial quarter close to the harbour. The brief called for a building that could project a clear professional identity while remaining efficient, adaptable, and durable in an exposed setting.
Challenge & Context
The client needed a building with commercial presence but not excessive branding. The facade had to carry the project's identity while supporting practical floorplates, daylight access, and straightforward servicing.
Design Concept
The project uses a simple glazed volume with a disciplined structural rhythm and a clear ground-level threshold. Rather than relying on elaborate formal moves, the design focuses on proportion, transparency, and the relationship between the building and the street.
Process
Design development concentrated on facade studies, access, and how the building would read within the wider commercial district. Consultant coordination focused on keeping the external expression concise while ensuring the shell could support different tenant layouts.
Outcome
The resulting building feels precise and commercially legible without becoming generic. Its strongest quality is the clarity with which structure, frontage, and use align.
